The bad news is The Last of Us Part 1 (opens in new tab) The release of the PC version, which was scheduled to be released on March 3, will be delayed. The good news is that the delay is only a few weeks with these developments, and they are slated for release on March 28th.
Believe it or not, the delay appears to have been caused at least in part by the popularity of the HBO show. (opens in new tab)brought gaming back to pop culture prominence and opened it up to a whole new audience.

That’s a strange statement, isn’t it? It’s one thing for a team to say it takes more time than expected to get things right, but it suggests they’re ready to kick this thing out the door half-heartedly. To do is another thing entirely: the TV show hit. I can’t tell if this is pure cynicism or brutal honesty. Either Naughty Dog is camouflaging its development headaches with a warm cloak of boundless love for its fans, or it’s just acknowledging that it’s really getting really bad because people are paying attention. Is it?
There is a third possibility and this is what I want. After watching the huge success of Episode 3 of the HBO show, I went deep into Bill and Frank’s relationship. (opens in new tab) (something the game doesn’t explore), Naughty Dog expands on the story to embrace it as canon. I know three weeks isn’t enough for him to make big, meaningful changes, but I think it should happen, so I’m going public.

Either way, March 28th is a big day. The Last of Us for PC is available for pre-purchase now vapor (opens in new tab) and the Epic Games Store (opens in new tab)both currently still showing a release date of March 3rd.
