The Last of Us has received a major upgrade for PlayStation 5, and it looks like its sequel could get the same treatment. Series composer Gustavo Santaolalla seems to have suggested: Last of Us Part II PS5 Upgrade Currently under construction.
Santaolalla claims there will be an ‘improved version’ of The Last of Us Part II
Santaolalla made a guest appearance Blender Podcast (around 1:36:30) and talked about the game.according to Vandal, the celebrated composer said a sequel “version mejorada” or “improved version” was in the works. He says players can have him play different versions of the song, which is likely due to the fact that he was stationed in Jackson with a banjo in The Last of Us: Part II. He said it was believed to be a reference to a cameo appearance. He then stated that he couldn’t say anything else. (We are working towards a more accurate translation.)
Naughty Dog hasn’t announced an official PS5 upgrade for The Last of Us Part II, but there’s precedent for Naughty Dog upgrading and porting The Last of Us. The original his PS3 has been remastered for his PS4 and updated for PS4 Pro.Even that remaster Received new updates for 2020 Load times have been reduced before the entire game is fully remade for PS5 in 2022. That remake was also ported to PC (although it launched in a mess). The Last of Us Part II just got even better with an update that allows it to run at 60 frames per second when played on PS5.
Given this precedent, Sales of The Last of Us and its sequel soar Given the circumstances surrounding the HBO series, and the fact that The Last of Us Part III’s release could still be at least a few years away, a more substantial PS5 upgrade (and PC port) for the controversial Chapter 2 is likely. It may be under development. Sony is also showing its favor for PS5 premium upgrades in the Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut and Death Stranding Director’s Cut. A PS5 remake of Horizon Zero Dawn is also rumored to be in the works.
