There’s still a long wait for the ass to take its seat super mario bros moviebut Illumination and Nintendo’s animated films are rated by the Motion Picture Association (MPA).
listing movie ratingthe film is rated “PG” — perhaps unsurprising given that both Sonic the Hedgehog films got the same rating (thanks for the tip, Greatsong1!).
The reasoning is also pretty sound. According to the rating, Super Mario Bros. Movies feature “action and mild violence.” This means a lot of jumping on Koopas, Goombas, and lots of fire-breathing.
Starring Chris Pratt, the movie has an all-star cast including Jack Black as Bowser and Keegan-Michael Key as Toad. I saw the movie for the first time just a few weeks ago and it must have broken down every second. Check out the video below to see what we thought of the teaser!
