Beware of treasure goblins. This Diablo 4 treasure chest vomited enough rare items to crash the game.
reddit user high with you Posted a clip of a treasure chest with seemingly endless loot inside. Each click spawned items of all rarities, and it probably wouldn’t stop until the game crashed from all the items on the screen.
“I feel sick, but I can’t stop. It feels like an automated teller machine spitting out bills,” they wrote. “Maybe I shouldn’t do it, but…”
High-With-You was about to complete the quest “A Sodden Pact” in the Skosgren region of Diablo 4. Just north of the quest’s objective, they discovered the world’s most generous treasure chest. It was as if I had access to a loot valve with an endless supply of legendary and sacred items, each click overflowing with loot.
High-With-You said they were in World Tier 3. That said, item drops weren’t worth much compared to higher world tiers, but they were a short experience.
“I had some people participate at random, and they also got items, [teleported] When I came back, oh my game crashed,” they said.
Um… from r/diablo 4
For a few hours last week, a bug allowed just over 100 players to obtain Diablo 4’s rarest and most powerful items from Helltide chests. Blizzard quickly decided to close it down and allow everyone to keep the “Uber Unique” item. If High-With-You were actually in a world tier 4 where these items could drop, this infinite chest glitch would have been worse or better depending on which side you’re on . As far as we know, the secret cow level is there.
Certainly, Blizzard didn’t allow players to stuff their pockets with that much loot in a matter of seconds. Even if they weren’t powerful upgrades, that amount of items could potentially give you a lot more gold than you should have gotten so quickly.
A commenter on the post warned High-With-You to make sure no one was named in the video so Blizzard couldn’t ban it, to which they responded, “I was transmogged.” okay, they’ll never find me.”
