star field Creative Director and Executive Producer Todd Howard says the game is hard science fiction, at least to those associated with developer Bethesda.
Howard talked about the game’s tone in a new article video (opens in new tab) Answer some questions about the game. Asked about the still-burning hard sci-fi controversy, Howard said: Draw that line from “This is how humans explored the universe” and look at our ship and say it has a visual identity that goes back to it.
“But it’s a video game, so it’s a trap question,” he continues. “A hard sci-fi video game would die in the cold of space. A good example is how we were addicted to fuel and how gravity-driven works. I’m a quantum You’re reading a paper on physics. Instead of actually warping, you bring space towards you. Your ship will run out of fuel and the game will stop.So we recently made changes to limit the distance your ship and your ship’s fuel and gravity drive can go at once, but running out of fuel is not No. There’s a mod that allows it, but that’s what we’re doing right now.”
It will be interesting to see how the game’s tone and intended experience affect design decisions regarding more specific features such as interspace travel. Customizing Starfield Ships It’s also been the focus of several trailers and showcases, and optimizing travel time seems to be the key to building your dream ship.
In the same video, Howard revealed: Starfield has 4x more conversations than Skyrimand his personal favorite voice persuasion system.
