Ah tomb Raider The TV series is reportedly in early development on Amazon. Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag, Killing Eve) will reportedly be writing alongside other projects after renewing her contract with Amazon for another three years, but will not be starring. Hmm.
TV series could lead to new Tomb Raider game
It’s unclear if the TV series will draw inspiration from the current Tomb Raider video game, but a new game is in development and will be published by Amazon rather than Embracer Group. The game is slated for release later this year, after most of the Crystal Dynamics staff of developers have left Marvel’s Avengers, and it remains to be seen if it will somehow tie into a new TV series.
It is currently unknown which actress could step into the role of Lara Croft. hollywood reporterWaller-Bridge will not take any form of acting role in the series despite her previous experience, but will also take on the role of executive producer. Founders Ryan Andolina and Amanda Greenblatt will also executive produce alongside Dmitri Johnson.
