Cumulative sales of Gran Turismo exceed 90 million units
writing PS Blog, Yamauchi says the entire Gran Turismo series has sold more than 90 million copies. Despite racing being a relatively niche genre, the franchise has only stumbled upon the consistently best-selling and divisive GT Sport.
The series is undoubtedly popular, but when I looked at PlayStation’s best-selling charts, I was surprised by how well it performed.

There are no Gran Turismo 7 figures yet. However, the game’s hype and relatively positive reaction probably mean it’s doing pretty well.
