Ubisoft has canceled the Battle Royale game Ghost Recon Frontline, Splinter Cell VR Game, and two more unreleased titles.
Ubisoft told investors in its first quarter 2023 earnings announcement that Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon frontline was canceled due to an “uncertain economic environment.” The publisher has also canceled the Splinter Cell VR game, two unreleased titles, and postponed Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
Ghost Recon Frontline Canceled by Ubisoft
Ghost Recon Frontline is (or was) a free-to-play first-person battle royale game with over 100 player matches. When it was announced last October, it received an incredibly frosty welcome from fans.
A few months ago, Ghost Recon Frontline was restarted and it was reported that lead developer Ubisoft Bucharest wouldn’t launch the game immediately. After today’s news, nothing seems to start for a while.
