Throne of Lies
Every ruler, good or bad, needs a throne that reflects his power. Neron’s Throne is no exception!I spoke with Blake Henrickson DCUO’s Senior Concept Artists can learn more about the inspiration for Ominous Seats.

Blake started with 2D illustration, but is a big fan of using 3D in the design process. “I find it really helpful to understand how the design translates into his 3D space, which is especially helpful when working on complex structures like Neron’s Throne. “
From concept to environment
The final step in a concept artist’s journey? We’ll hand off the concept to our environment artists so they can be built as 3D props in-game!
“Our environmental artist Walter Diaz did a great job bringing the concept to life,” says Blake. “Everyone is excited to see it and see all the beautiful work he put in!”
