The Library of Congress has registered the first video game song in the National Recording Registry. This was probably the most obvious choice.
With today’s release, it was announced that the “Ground Theme” (aka 1-1 Theme) from the original Super Mario Bros. It doesn’t have to be (as Koji) Kondo is credited as composer). Some of the most famous Mario songs are Madonna’s 1984 hit “Like a Virgin”, Mariah’s Carrie’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”, and Queen’s Latifah’s debut her album “Like a Virgin”.
