Remember the second collection of Valis that came to Nintendo Switch in Japan last September? Well, Edia released it locally on the eShop $44.99 USD.
Valis: The Fantasm Soldier Collection II includes three more entries in the Valis series.Player can revisit Valais IV (PC Engine), Cid of Valis (Genesis/Mega Drive) and Valis: Phantasm Soldier (Genesis/Mega Drive).There is also a bonus game Valis: Phantom Soldier For MSX computer systems.
All of these versions are supported with “modern playback features” such as sound mode, visual mode, and rewind mode. The game menu has also been “brushed up” to improve the overall experience. On the origins of the series (via Nintendo.com), let’s take a look at the collection.
The Valis: The Fantasm Soldier series began in 1986 as a side-scrolling action game for the Japanese PC. These gals in armor have captured the hearts and minds of many fans over the years with their highly satisfying gameplay and unique world-building. 35 years after its release, the Varis series still has many enthusiastic fans around the world.
