Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 — Introducing Ashikajima
Sea Lion Island is a centuries-old village under siege by Shadow Company forces. Navigate ancient shipwrecks and ruins, modern town centers, beach clubs, harbors, organic farms, and fortified castles perched on islands. Sea Lion Island has its own secrets to discover, and the brave explorer is often rewarded. The points of interest are:
Organic Farms – Most of the northwestern part of Sea Lion Island has a mix of agricultural, residential, and industrial uses, along with old shoreline defenses.
downtown – Impressive seawalls, ferry terminals, tourist facilities and the semi-circular City Hall add to the appeal.
beach club – Further southwest of the town center and east of the harbor is an aquarium and beach club, while the southwest sea beach offers outdoor swimming.
Tsuki Castle – The high ground in the center of Sea Lion Island is dominated by an ancient castle with multiple fortresses, cherry blossoms in full bloom, and natural defensive hills along the southwestern side of the structure.
Sea Lion Harbor – The southwestern tip is dominated by rocky cliffs and a harbor named after the island. As you head out to sea, you’ll come across a variety of industrial warehouses, offices, and communications towers.
Residential – In the lowlands below the northern ramparts, and to the east of the farms and plantations, are some dwellings between some industrial structures.
Shipwreck – Bad weather and dangerous coastlines doomed two cargo tankers. Both ships ran aground here and the freight containers they were carrying were mostly saved and piled up in a comfortable manner.
Resurgence Returns: Available in all squad sizes Solo, Duo, Trio and Quad. Resurrection Mode updates the playlist regularly throughout the season, allowing for multiple respawns as long as one squad member is still standing. If a squad member is eliminated while one or more squad members are still alive, a countdown will appear next to their name. When this countdown reaches zero, it will be relocated to the drop zone.
This countdown can be shortened by squad members performing certain in-game actions, such as eliminating enemies. This countdown gets longer each time a circle collapses, invalidating the last few circles (all redeployments except those purchased at the Buy Station). The last team standing wins.
Features unique to Sea Lion Island
Honor Restoration (Launch, Resurgence): All operators on Sea Lion Island drop a dog tag upon death. This can be picked up by a squad member or by himself after redeploying, for a small cash reward and a single his UAV that marks both enemy threats and nearby supplies his box ping is granted.
Search and Seizure (In-Season, Resurgence): Recover stolen vehicles from the Shadow Company forces on the island. The operator must neutralize the guards near the vehicle before grabbing the dropped keys and moving the vehicle to the designated drop-off point.
Data Heist (Inseason, Resurgence): A new public event, Data Heist, occurs during the collapse of the second circle, bringing three uplink stations online around the map. Squads can hack and stay near Uplink Stations to gain information. Eliminate incoming Shadow Company forces to speed up the download process.
Enemy Operators can halt progress by contesting the station area directly or by using the DDoS Field Upgrade. Squads that successfully download Intel from 2 or 3 Uplink Stations receive more rewards, such as random Killstreaks and advanced UAVs.
Drone Repositioning (In-Season, Resurgence): Redeployment of drones can be a high-risk, high-return method to relocate around Sea Lion Island. Simply connect the cable to the drone via interaction, take off and parachute to a distant location. Drones sometimes change position during a match and can be targeted by lock-on missiles.
New Rusher Combatants (In-Season, Resurgence): What Rusher lacks in defense, he makes up for with agility and a deadly shortsword. This enemy packs a pistol in case it can’t reach its target with melee attacks, and also packs mini smoke grenades to distract and reposition.
DMZ expands to Ashigashima
As part of the new season, Sea Lion Island will become a new Exclusion Zone accessible in the DMZ. This new area continues the mode’s story and other new features such as the Boss Lair.
