- Team Ninja announced Ninja Gaiden 4 during the show
- Ninja Gaiden 2 Black shadow-dropped into Xbox Game Pass
This week’s Xbox Developer Direct was a big one, giving us release dates for games launching on Xbox and dropping into Xbox Game Pass in the next few months. Following rumors that a “legendary Japanese IP” would feature in the direct, we saw Team Ninja announce Ninja Gaiden 4 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, which will launch into Xbox Game Pass this fall. If that wasn’t enough for fans of the action franchise, Team Ninja also shadow-dropped Ninja Gaiden 2 Black on Xbox Series X|S and PC, dropping the game straight into Xbox Game Pass.
Elsewhere in the show, Compulsion Games announced that its stunning action-adventure game South of Midnight will launch on Xbox Series X|S and PC and joins Xbox Game Pass on April 8. Following that, Sandfall Interactive’s turn-based RPG, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, launches on April 24 for Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass.
Id Software also gave us a look at its brutal upcoming shooter, Doom: The Dark Ages, which launches on Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Xbox Game Pass on May 15 — if you want to know even more, take a look at our Doom: The Dark Ages hands-off preview for more tidbits.
