Extension Hyrule Field – Day
The adult Link sprints through Epona’s Hyrule Fields, cutting down hordes of Bokoblins approaching from either side. In the distance, Lynel holds the helpless Princess Zelda up high. Survivor’s Eye of the Tiger will play in the background.
Zelda: [Britishly] Link! you know what to do!
Link jumps off his horse and in slow motion shoots an arrow from his bow that hits Lynel in the head. He grabbed Zelda’s hand mid-flip and rode into Hyrule Castle, where an overjoyed crowd chanted his name.
crowd: Link! Link! Link!
A close-up of Link’s smile as he gradually closes his eyes. When the music stops and his eyes open…
internal.Link’s Bedroom – Noon
Navi: Link! Link! oi!
Child drink sits on the bed and rubs his head. He grumbles as he walks into the kitchen where his uncle and his apprentice Grouse are hard at work at the whetstone. Very agile delivery, quick cuts are possible here.
Grouse: Well, unless it’s a fairy boy! Hey Link, are you still dreaming about your famous girlfriend?
Grouse and Uncle laugh.Link opens a bottle of Lon Lon Milk and sips it..
Uncle: Well, Navi didn’t wake you up again, right? Now come over here and help me with this mold.
Link reluctantly walks up to them and helps them lift the giant stone slab.
Link: [Clearing his throat] You know, uncle, I was thinking. I want to make swords for the rest of my life, I want to become a knight and become a great hero like a legend.
Uncle: [Scoffs] you? Legend?
Grouse: Legend of Link!
He laughed so hard that he fell backwards out of his chair.
Link: Hmm…
The instrumental cover of “Holding Our for a Hero” gradually fades out…
black screen. As the music grows louder, Hylian letters emerge from the darkness, spinning and reading “This Summer.”
internal.cave – night
An old man is rummaging through a chest while Link moves behind him, eager to find out what he’s looking for.
old man: You shouldn’t go out alone and be like, “Hey, take this.”
Link frowns. The old man swung around, revealing a small sword.
Link: Eh, isn’t there something a little more flashy?
old man: You first met the mysterious old man in the cave, right?
Link: [Shrugs]
black screen. Further text rotates to reveal the “Legend”. Bonnie Tyler continues.
Ext. Gerudo Desert – Day
Surrounded by Gibbdos, Link and Zelda are standing back to back.
Zelda: And I said that I would like to take the scenic route.
Link: Excuse me, Princess!
Link rolled his eyes and charged at the oncoming enemy, slashing him five times before wheezing and turning around. He saw Zelda quickly launch her treasure with golden rays shooting from her hands.
Zelda wipes out the rest of the enemies and brushes off the sand from her dress.
Link: So when were you going to tell me I could do it?
Zelda: It never floated. You are not very good at conversation, are you?
black screen. The text “Starting…” fades in.
The sizzle reel cuts between various locations in Hylia, Zora’s Realm, Kakariko Village, and links sailing across the open ocean. One shot shows a Korok popping out, causing Link to scream and launch it into the air.
EXT Goron City – Noon
Link and Zelda walk down a busy sandy street. Various gorons call out to each other as they pass by.
Goron #1: Goro is amazing!
Goron #2: no, you Rock, Goro!
Link: Excuse me, I’m looking for—
Goron #3: Above all, you are the most rock, Goro!
Link: Excuse me, may I—
Goron #1: Hey, how are Golos rocking so much?
Goron #4: Did you hear someone locking?
Link stamps his feet and yells.
Link: Can you agree that everyone is rockin’?!
A small Goron tumbled into the rink and cleared his throat.
Little Goron: [Jarringly deep voice] That’s not cool, dude. Not cool.
Extension Hyrule Field – Night
Link and Zelda watch the Blood Moon appear in the sky.
Zelda: Blood moon rises again. Be careful, Mr. Link.
Link: Why should it always be a “Blood Moon”? No matter what happened to “Milkshake Moon” or “That Moon” won’t try to kill us all “
Zelda: Continue your battle story, Hero of Hyrule…
black screen. The golden characters rotate and “The Legend of Zelda theatrical version” appears. “I Need a Hero” reaches its seventh climax and comes to an abrupt halt.
internal.Hyrule Castle – Night
Ganondorf sits on the throne and stares at Link in front of him with the Master Sword in hand.
Ganondorf: I am Gerudo King Ganondorf. you won’t get in my way
Link laughs.
Link: Ganondorf? What’s that name? Did your parents want to name you after cough syrup?
The moblin guards surrounding the two stare at each other tensely as Link continues to laugh for a few more seconds. Ganondorf rolled his eyes in indignation. beat. Ganondorf charges at Link, who prepares to attack.
black screen. The words “Coming Soon” appear as the solo piano slowly plays her first three notes of “Lullaby of Zelda.”
