Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is getting a sequel, and according to the film’s director, the budget will be fivefold.
For a quick catch up in case you missed it, Winnie the Pooh: Blood and Honey is everyone’s favorite red-shirted bear-based live-action horror. Apparently it cost less than $100,000 to make, entertainment weeklywriter and director Rhys Flake Waterfield says the budget for his next film could be five times that.
“A second one is already in development,” Frake-Waterfield told EW. It’s going to be an absolute wonder to the world, and that’s one of the big challenges.
“Competing with movies like M3GAN [and] They are made by an order of magnitude. More money for a movie means more time, more cool scenes, more time to spend on more sophisticated stuff. I can’t wait to see what happens. “
In addition to this, the director is working on a retelling of Bambi’s horror, which Frake-Waterfield touched on last week in an interview with GameSpot. Frake-Waterfield has reaffirmed to EW that Bambi is still coming, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’ll direct a Blood and Honey sequel.
Clearly, this version of Winnie the Pooh isn’t what we know and love. But he also doesn’t feature that classic plain red shirt, especially since it’s Disney’s version of the character. The first book entered his public domain last year, but Disney still has the rights to that version. owns
