Prostate cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting men worldwide, killing tens of thousands each year in the United States alone. The risk of developing the disease is increased by many genetic and environmental factors such as family history, diet and age, with most cases occurring in men over the age of 45.
The disorder is associated with common symptoms such as difficulty urinating, but symptoms can take years to develop. Thankfully, there are a variety of treatment options, and the chances of survival are greatest when the disease is caught early. IGN strongly recommends that people over the age of 45 read up on the disease and discuss it with their doctor to consider getting tested.
