Xbox Game Pass grows with two action-packed games today
Although Hunt: Showdown has been around for a few years now, developer Crytek shut down the multiplayer shooter on Xbox One earlier this year and relaunched it as an Xbox Series X|S-only game. Whether that’s enough to limit it to only Game Pass Ultimate and PC subscribers today is yet to be seen, but there is a chance.
For the King 2 launches on Xbox and PC today, however, so we expect it’ll only drop into the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC libraries.
Hunt: Showdown 1896
Hunt Showdown: 1896 is a first-person PvPvE extraction shooter offering solo and team play for up to three players, and sees you playing as a bounty hunter in the “corrupted backwaters lost to history.”
You’re tasked with tracking down all manner of terrifying creatures for coin, but you’re not the only one out there hunting, so be prepared to fight tooth and nail if you want to keep hold of your hard-earned loot.
For the King II
The sequel to 2019’s For the King, For the King 2 is a turn-based roguelite RPG inspired by tabletop gameplay, sending you and up to three other players on a quest to battle it out with a tyrannical queen.
You’ll need to explore the magical world of Fahrul, traversing toxic swamps, scorching wastelands, and more on your way to take don the once beloved Queen Rosomon. For The King II is considered a little underrated by many from its time on PC, so if you have the time it’s definitely worth having a play!
