Dark times often require some kind of escapism. For many people (myself included), that escapism comes in the form of reading the scariest books you can get your hands on. Scary Stories is a space where you can practice being brave and learn how to deal with your inner and outer worries and fears.
Occasionally, you may come across a book that is too scary. Shining in that one episode friend (my freezer book is haunted head Paul Tremblay), but horror is fun too. Shouting “you’re an idiot”, “oh no”, or “absolutely not” while reading a book can be cathartic.
To encourage everyone to read more scary books, I’ve put together a list of horror novels, novellas, and graphic novels.

As with all good horror stories, the closer you get to the truth of what is happening, the more disjointed and dangerous James and Julie’s lives become.
