One thing I often hear from angry readers offended by one of my reviews is, All I do is complain. That’s all I ever do!i complain the walking dead When ring of power And Marvel and Star Wars and the weather and politicians and my back pain. blah blah blah
To be fair, it’s a big part of my job. As a critic, you don’t necessarily complain, Criticism. I’ve been getting so much criticism against so many different TV shows and movies these days.TV writers seem more interested in politics du jour than the story they are trying to tell. The script seems to go into production without proofreading!
But to say that all I’ve ever done is complain, or that I’m just a negative Nancy, is simply not true. I get tons of compliments on everything that I think is great. When it comes to television these days, there are a lot of great shows like: current hbo hits Last of UsWe’re really spoiled for choice, but this often means subscribing to dozens of different streaming services in the process.
Oh, complain again.
in any case, I recently wrote about all my favorite shows of 2022, but then I went to see a few more shows in 2022 (and remembered what I forgot), so I thought I’d add a few more to my list. first list.three here more The best TV shows of 2022.
Bear (Hulu)
Carmie (Jeremy Allen White) returns to her hometown of Chicago to take over her brother’s restaurant. This restaurant is a popular sandwich joint that has been a community hotspot for years, but it’s always been in a state of chaos and turmoil. Carmie is a chef who has worked in some of the best restaurants in the world and has returned to the original his beef with ambition. He wants the place to be better, but he finds himself battling the status quo.Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), his brother’s best friend, is almost entirely in the past. I’m a stuck man.
Added to this chaotic mix is Sydney (Ayo Edeviri), a young cook with big dreams and a keener eye for change than Carmie. What follows is a delightful cacophony of personal drama, restaurant-industry realism, and astounding acting and writing that will keep you hooked and not letting go until you’ve been hooked for an entire season. But I had no idea how much I would fall in love with Original Beef and its motley crew of cooks and misfits.White, Moss-Bachrach and Edebiri were all very good and It feels like a real person doing a real job. You can’t help but care deeply about each of them (and the rest of the show’s amazing cast).
Of course, I couldn’t help thinking Carmie was an old version of Rip from Shameless. So both shows are set in Chicago and deal with dysfunctional families and trauma. . .
bear Created by Christopher Storer. Season 2 will arrive early this summer.

Station 11 (HBO)
station 11 It will be released during a period of purgatory where one year ends and another begins. It was born in December 2021 and ended in January 2022. This is the best of 2021 list or his best of 2022 list or…slipping through the cracks.
That’s what happened with my Best of 2022 list. station 11 came out so long ago that I remember it was 2021, but it aired later in 2021, so it definitely wasn’t on my (or many others’) 2021 list I am now trying to fix this critical oversight. station 11 It was easily one of the best TV shows of 2022 and one of the most compelling post-apocalyptic stories I’ve ever seen.
The show is non-linear, gleefully hopping through timelines and uncovering secrets hidden beneath the surface. It focuses on actors, artists, and dreamers rather than grizzly soldiers and die-hard survivors. Its central conflict is not between evil bandits and noble survivors, but between sons and mothers, between the past and the future, between different visions of the end of the world. should Become.
It’s not what I expected, it’s more than I wanted. The plot summaries here (most shows that treat plots as mostly perfunctory) do it to their disservice, so you’d better watch for yourself.
station 11 Created by Patrick Somerville, based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Emily St. John Mandel. There’s no word on whether or not a second season will be made, presumably in anthology form.
from (MGM+)
I’m cheating a little on this one. Finally got to watch the MGM+ original from, just about a week ago, give or take. I’m not quite done with it yet! But with only a few more episodes left, we can safely vouch for it. It’s so messed up.
and I’m so scared. You’ll notice Harold Perrineau, who plays Boyd as Michael. lost, The similarities to that show don’t end there. from It’s about a group of people who find themselves stranded in a mysterious and deadly town in the middle of the city. . . where. . . Those who can’t leave. At night, they must barricade themselves inside or confront the monsters that lurk in the darkness to taunt or manipulate them.
from Fascinating, tense, and full of mystery. If you enjoy a steady trail of lots of questions and breadcrumbs (and bodies), this is definitely something to check out. The streaming service used to be He was Epix and that’s where this show started. I bought this season on Amazon Prime Video.
Caution: not only scary very It’s gory and disturbing and no one is safe, including small children. This might give your kids nightmares (and you too).
