The Nintendo indie games to watch for in 2026! Pure Nintendo Podcast E153

This week on the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Jemma, Trev, and Kirk go through the latest indie news from Nintendo with 18 games highlighted in last week’s Indie World Showcase.

On last week’s episode, we celebrated thirty years of Pokémon. This week is all about indies. The Showcase was a real mixed bag of genres from first-person shooters to puzzle games. No matter the game, there’s a lot of talented devs out there and we can’t wait to see more from them!

Meanwhile, there’s news of Nintendo suing the US government over tariffs, plus another Mario Movie Direct is dropping this week. Kirk’s Corner brings us Kena: Bridge of Spirits, plus we’re playing fallout 4, Fatal Frame, Balatro, Snoopy and the Great Mystery CLub, and Banner of the Maid. It’s an exciting time for Nintendo fans, with this being the first full year of the Switch 2. There’s plenty to look forward to – and we certainly look forward to reporting on all things Nintendo each and every week in 2026.
