After eating food, it slowly heals you over time. Also make sure you have recipes for some potions like swallow, thunderbolt, and white honey, and have some armor and weapon repair kits. This fight is a tricky one, and completing Keira Metz’s storyline first is also beneficial. Because the lamp she provides to accentuate the spirit is very useful in the lore of this quest.
in the shadow of eternal flame

Reinaldo’s letter location
You are looking for a letter from an individual called Reinaldo. He was clearly a witcher. When you first enter the cave, climb the ledge and continue for a few seconds until you see a staircase on your right in front of the closed door, climb the stairs to find Reynaldo’s first note and Yaden’s Greater His Glyph. Head back down and you’ll find another note stuck in the door. Immediately after going through the door, on the left is the Wolf School insignia. The insignia Geralt says is old, very old. There are doorways that can reveal trends.
Explore the area and go down the stairs, where the path splits in two. Head right, away from the wolf insignia on the ground. There is a dead end on the right, so keep going. Entering the room with the obedient plague victims, Geralt says he may have missed something.Exiting through the other door, climbing the platform reveals his fifth characters are found. do not go through the door. If you prefer, you can stop this step now and come back after you’ve found the remaining four characters.
Return to where the wolf badge splits the path in two. Head left and use your Witcher Senses to find the Wolf Insignia on the road in front of you. Ignore the mysterious voice telling you where to go for now. you go exploring. Keep going and cross the bridge to find Reinald’s third letter and another glyph. If you go back and rotate, you will find that there is a platform you can jump on. Head next to it to find more loot.
Jump into the shallow pool below, then plunge right under the bridge to find another doorway with the Witcher’s insignia. Continue into the pit and go through the door in the far left of the room to find a climbable wall and another of his Yrden glyphs and insignia. Here Geralt shows that his Reinald could have been a witcher.
Jump over the gap to the lab to find the Forgotten Priest’s Testament and head through the door on the left. find the glyph. Return to the fork and turn right, you can look down on the pit. Save here, meditate to restock your bombs and potions, repair your armor and weapons, and equip the glyphs and runes of Quen and Yrden. You will need these.

How to defeat Red Miasmal
Once they’re defeated, follow the path until you reach a set of stairs that lead to a room. Please refill. Below is a room where Reinald is trapped in a salt stalagmite. Using Aard to free him triggers a really cool cutscene.
Apparently, Reinald is possessed by Red Miasmal. Red Miasma does not fully recognize the letter he wrote, so it can test him and use misinformation to figure it out. ,too good to waste.
The potion gives you a buff against fighting Red Miasmal, so the obvious answer here is to keep the potion for yourself, and Geralt will automatically drink it. Make sure you have White Honey on hand to counter it. Reinald has 3 health segments and he’s as fast as you. Throw Yrden to slow him down and you’ll have to watch out for his Quen. When enabled, a red orb glows around him and explodes if he gets too close.
You’ll need to get a few key hits with your sword in to defeat him, but your signature plays a bigger role. Once he’s in the circle, attack him with an ard to greatly reduce his health and expel the red miasma from his body. It is recommended that you keep a Tawny Owl potion on hand to quickly restore your stamina.
When Reynaldo is defeated, a cutscene begins, expelling the Red Miasmal from his body and his corpse falling to the ground. Fortunately, this battle is simpler. Red Miasmal is worse than any Pesta or Wraith I’ve encountered so far. Not a person suffering from a curse or bad luck, but an embodiment of pure evil.
Using the same tactics as before, you should get as many hits as possible against Red Miasmal while being careful with melee swipes. There are also attacks like Igni, but they move quite slowly and you can immediately tell when they are about to attack. You can teleport, so avoid it when it appears on the side. Summons a few waves of plague victims, but they’re not as aggressive as the previous ones, so you can mostly focus on Red Miasmal. can be removed, so you don’t have to worry if there are several people lurking towards the end of the fight.
Decide Reinaldo’s fate

You can tell him about the strange set of medallions and armor he wears. He, like all the witchers of Kaer Morhen, designed and forged the medallions himself and used Wolf as his school. It will tell you that you forged the armor yourself as a prototype for the armor. Geralt is somewhat suspicious at first, as his medallion was given to him by his mentor, then it’s revealed that poor Reynaldo has been here for over 300 years of his life, and understandably he’s a little annoyed. but is told to take out the armor figure from the tunic.
Then follows the fate of Reinaldo’s corpse and how to raise his spirit to peace. all of white letters Dialog choices before selecting the next yellow text.
Reinaldo wants to talk to the young deacon, but Geralt suggests burning him with firewood, which will forever condemn his soul. To get the best ending to this quest, retrieve Deacon, as a witcher should, and stick to morally gray options during conversations.
- Not all priests are bad
- You don’t need a church to do good, priest
Reinaldo would then leave and the butler would question his future. Upon reaching level 20, Forgotten he is now able to craft Wolf’s base his armor. There are enhanced diagrams to find, but to access them you must unlock and access Kale Her Morhen.
