Rollerdrome has four types of weapons that can be unlocked through the game.
- pistol: Classic double pistol. They offer rapid fire, making them ideal for taking out incoming missiles and mines. You can also use them to stunlock enemies. However, pistols don’t do as much damage as other weapons and aren’t always effective against heavily armored enemies.
- Shotgun: Slower than the pistol, the shotgun is still a force to be reckoned with. Waiting for your sights to line up during reflex time will allow you to fire a slug shot.
- Grenade Launcher: One, it looks cool. Second, grenades do her AOE damage and can be used to eliminate multiple enemies at once.
- Z-11: This long-range energy laser is great for sustaining combos when far away from enemies.
Combos are achieved by eliminating enemies in quick succession. By swapping weapons back and forth, you can take advantage of multiple weapons while maintaining combos. With a well-placed grenade he blows open Mecha Brut’s door before closing it and finishing with a shotgun. You can also shoot your own grenades with your pistol to detonate them near certain enemies. Detonation can also be used to turn in the air, but it also takes damage. Use this technique with caution. Stun enemies with a slug shot and finish them off with a quick barrage from your pistol.
And remember: it’s not just your own weapons at your disposal. Savvy players can pressure enemies to attack each other (or against themselves). .
reflection time
One of the key mechanics we need to utilize in Rollerdrome is Reflex Time. You can access Reflex Time by pressing L2, but Reflex Time only lasts for a few minutes before needing to be recharged, so use it sparingly. Reflex Time lets you experience brief moments of slow-motion gameplay. This is the perfect opportunity to stunlock an enemy using a rapid-fire pistol.
Super Reflex Time (accessible by completely dodging just before entering Reflex Time) gives a noticeable power boost. This is the perfect time to use a pistol at close range or use his Z-11 on enemies at a distance. You access Super Reflex Time most of the time by dodging enemy attacks, but you can also trigger it by dodging the explosion of your own grenade his launcher. This allows you to activate on your own terms without waiting for enemy attacks.
ammunition
Out of ammo? It’s time to do some tricks. In Rollerdrome, ammo is obtained by performing skate tricks, so you’ll have to focus on your skate tricks, not just killing enemies. The best value for money comes from mixing and chaining tricks together. This can be accomplished by combining tricks with wallrides, grinds and grabs. Try using reflex time while in the air in the middle of a trick to properly scope your enemies and kill them in style. Using different tricks rather than repeating the same tricks over and over is key to maximizing your ammo, so brush up on different styles and utilize them whenever possible. If you find it hard to balance maintaining combos and killing enemies at the same time, you can also grab the floating yellow combo tokens to continue combos while doing a few simple tricks to increase your ammo. You can. Then it’s time to eliminate your enemies and emerge victorious.
Rollerdrome will be available on PS4 and PS5 on August 16th.
