Splatoon 3 beginner’s guide, tips, and tricks

splatoon 3 is the second installment in the series for Nintendo Switch, and with it comes new quality-of-life features, weapons, and customization options.

The game has a platformer story mode with fun bosses and great music, but the heart of the game lies in the multiplayer Turf War mode. Players will participate in his 4v4 battle to see who can cover the stage with more colored ink. With a wide variety of weapons and customization options, it’s chaotic every time.

If you’ve never played a Splatoon game before, or are rusting from the last release five years ago, we’ve provided some tips on how to beat the Turf War game.

Feeling stuck or outdated?switch it

Whether you’re stuck in a story mode level or on a losing streak in Turf Wars, switching weapons up can get you out of a slump.

Many Story Mode levels require you to use the basic Hero Gun, while others allow you to choose a specific weapon. Also, the “recommended” weapon is not necessarily the easiest weapon to pass the level with.

Shop resets at 8pm EDT

Based on our experience, all shops get new loot at 8pm EDT. In addition to new arrivals in the shop, you can draw a gachapon at a great price once a day at the “Shell Out Machine” in the lobby, which will also be reset at the same time. However, it is unclear if this is a local or global time reset, and we will update this post when we find out.

Draw horizontally instead of vertically

Painting walls is important for climbing, but doing so doesn’t affect your score. Concentrate on painting the floor. That’s what Turf is all about in his Wars.

Use your ultimate ability to refill the ink tank as well

You must use your ultimate ability as soon as the gauge is full, but you can also use it to completely refill your ink tank. This will get you out of sticky situations.

Don’t forget to ink the base

You don’t have to ink everything right away when you start the map, but every time you respawn and pass through the base, you do need to ink it little by little until it’s fairly covered. I don’t want to lose for that reason.

Learning maps is an important part of the game

Knowing which Turf War map you’re playing gives you a big advantage. Knowing where to infiltrate enemy bases and where common chokepoints are can be very helpful. You’ll want to know where you can go to attack.
