Unlike the original, Alan Wake 2 is Remedy’s first attempt at a survival horror game. Remedy calls it a “deep, layered mystery” and gives the studio the opportunity to “truely connect gameplay and story.”
Alan Wake 2 has no release date, but will be released in 2023, especially for PS5, among other platforms. The summer showcase plan may have been canceled, but the game may appear in later events such as the Game Awards.
In other news, Hideo Kojima threatened to file a proceeding against those who misidentified him as the murderer of Shinzo Abe, and the remake developer of The Last of Us Part 1 rejected the proposal that the game grab cash.
