Larian Studios announced earlier this month that Minsc and Jaheira from Baldur’s Gate OGs will be returning to Baldur’s Gate 3 (opens in new tab)Last week, the studio revealed that Matt Mercer would be voicing Minsk. (opens in new tab)best known as the lead DM for Critical Roll, and today it was confirmed that Tracy Wiles would take on the role of Jaheira.
Wiles revealed through his Twitter channel that he began the role all the way back in January 2022.

An English actor, Wiles does not have a large presence in North America, but has had numerous roles in film, television, stage and especially radio shows. Wikipedia (opens in new tab) According to Page, she has appeared in more than 300 plays and comedies, making her an ideal candidate for video game voice acting.
In fact she a handful of video games (opens in new tab) It was preceded by Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Spellforce 3, Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire, and most recently, Total War: Warhammer 3.
I was a little disappointed when Mercer was announced as the voice of Minsk instead of original actor Jim Cummings – not because of any concerns about Mercer or his work, but strictly as a matter of nostalgia and tradition. I have to admit, I feel the same about Wiles as I do about Jaheira… this iconic role. (To be fair to Larian, Beamdog reportedly tried to recruit Shannon for the Siege of Dragonspear in 2016, but can’t find her (opens in new tab).)
That said, based on the very few things we’ve heard about Wiles as Jaheira in the recent Game Awards trailer, she definitely fills the role.
Larian also announced today that it is looking for testers for the previously undisclosed act 2 and act 3 of Baldur’s Gate 3. However, it appears that these tests are done onsite. Larian said it is looking for testers in Ghent, Quebec, Barcelona, Selangor, Dublin and Guildford.
