UI and input changes have made it harder to accidentally delete characters in Destiny 2.
When you select the option to remove characters, a new prompt will appear. A popup warns that this action will “permanently delete the character, including all items equipped and in inventory. It will also delete any level boosts applied to this character.” However, to indicate understanding, enter a series of key selections or button presses rather than simply selecting yes or no. Careful consideration can prevent you from accidentally selecting the delete option and clicking through.
Another recent update to Destiny 2 was the Season 21 mid-season patch released on July 18th. Exotic Wicked Implements will add buffs, introduce various weapon updates, and Crucible changes should prevent spawning into firefights. This patch also kicked off the Solstice Seasonal Event, where players can earn new weapons, armor, and cosmetics.
Season 22 of Destiny 2 is just around the corner. Few details, but it will kick off on his August 22nd, the same day as Destiny 2’s weekly reset and his upcoming Bungie Showcase. That could also include a raid revival and Glaive weapon changes.
