Luffy and the Straw Hats must uncover the final mystery hidden in the upcoming DLC ”Reunion of Memories”. After their adventure in Wafford, Luffy and the Straw Hats decided to have a feast. Suddenly, a girl dressed in black who looks a lot like Lim approaches. She then uses the mysterious power of the Black Cube to send the Straw Hat Pirates into an altered world of memories. There, things are different than they remember. Reunion of Memories not only takes you on new adventures, but also introduces two of his new systems that change the One Piece Odyssey experience.

The DLC implements a new combat system that complements the combat experience.
Limited Order Battles are special encounters experienced in Reunion of Memories, tuned for higher levels of play to allow deeper strategic gameplay. These battles have exceptional opponents with powerful abilities and require planning for best results. As an example of what a Limited Order Battle can look like, let’s take a closer look at the fight against Major General Barricade below.
For the Straw Hats to succeed in this battle, they must defeat Rear Admiral Barricade. Accompanying sailors do not have to lose to win. In fact, when the sailors are defeated, Rear Admiral Barricade’s power increases. If all crew members are defeated, the Admiral will be powered up to astronomical levels and can quickly defeat the Straw Hat Pirates.
So how do we get past this? A simple solution is to focus solely on defeating the Admiral. However, the general is tough, and if left alone, the crew will overwhelm the Straw Hat Pirates. Luckily, the Straw Hat Pirates are well equipped for this problem, as Brook, Nami, and others can be incapacitated with their ability to stun or confuse sailors. But the obstacles don’t stop there. Another of his fun mechanics in battle, the Straw Hat Pirates are joined by his NPC allies who will defeat sailors without hesitation and increase the Admiral’s power. This “ally” can cause chaos in any plan and make the battle more exciting.
This new system brings a fresh change to combat in Odyssey, allowing strategic decisions made during combat to significantly affect the outcome of the battle.

Choice of captain
Reunion of Memories also adds a branching story system that enhances the narrative experience.
There are several points during the story progression where the system will ask you to choose between two story choices. Your choices may keep the Straw Hat Pirates out of danger, or face it head-on for the bold and brave.
In this situation here, the Straw Hat Pirates are trying to save the mayor of Water Seven. They can do it in two ways. Save the workers and call for help, or go to the mayor’s house through the back roads. In this case, either choice will result in a battle, but the enemies you face will be different.
A captain selection system enhances the reunion narrative of memories by allowing players to interact with the story for a deeper level of immersion.
