What to Expect at AMD’s CES 2023 Keynote
AMD has a lot of pie in the oven for early 2023 and both new CPU and GPU lines have just rolled off the production line. With that in mind, we’re unlikely to see a major new product launch, but expect to see a lot of new hardware from Team Red. It could come at a more affordable price point, but if the RX 6000 graphics cards are still selling well, it’s unlikely AMD will refresh its entire GPU product stack.
We may also see the first mobile RDNA 3 graphics. AMD’s last generation mobile GPUs came in several variants, including the incredibly efficient S-class GPU. These are likely to make a comeback this generation, and with the improved performance per watt of the RNDA3, they could offer real competition to everything Nvidia has in store. Efficient mobile APUs with graphics are also likely to debut, offering solid entry-level gaming in a very affordable and efficient package.
Desktop CPUs will also be popular at CES 2023. AMD could show off a few more mid-range CPUs besides the X Ryzen 7000, augmenting its already impressive Zen 4 chip lineup.
One announcement that everyone wants to see come true, though, is for the Zen 4 3D V-Cache processor. There have been rumors that AMD has been working on three different Zen 4 3D V-Cache processors since he’s one, but they’re all interesting. AMD’s Previous generation Ryzen 5800X3D Still one of the best gaming processors thanks to the extra cache, an enhanced version of one or more of the new generation Ryzen 7000 processors could reclaim the gaming crown from Intel’s top chip. I have.
With recent rumors that Intel may cancel Next-gen Meteor Lake processorAMD has a great opportunity to regain some of the foothold it lost with the impressive launch of its Intel Raptor Lake CPUs in the fall of 2022.
Mobile Ryzen 7000 CPUs are almost certainly on the docket at CES 2023. AMD unveiled his Ryzen 6000 mobile processors at CES 2022, so expect a solid lineup of Ryzen 7000 laptop chips and specific laptop models featuring the chips this year. Well-known manufacturers are likely to show more at their booths during the show.
