The Xbox Game Showcase Extended has come to an end, and as part of the show we watched a montage of 10 new games. [email protected] Indie Programs – All coming to Game Pass at launch for Xbox.
If you want to know more about these games, you’re in the right place. This article contains details of all the last games. We were lucky enough to get hands-on experience with three of the upcoming titles. Please read my review.
Tectonica
Tectonica It takes the basics of the popular factory automation genre and turns them upside down by casting you as a first-person character rather than a top-down director. It’s set in a winding maze of bioluminescent alien caves, but it only takes a few minutes to realize how deep those caves and these systems go.
With its chunky lo-fi aesthetic, it has a gentle yet sinister side. Guided only by a mysterious voice who seems as confused by the situation as you are, you begin your path to finding out where you are by creating. Build a network of production facilities and uncover the secrets of the factory left behind where you wake up.
It’s a compelling mix of narrative adventure and factory simulation, but the latter element quickly becomes very important. Local plants must be harvested for use as biofuel and pumped into mining rigs to build layers upon layers of machinery. A glimpse through an initially impenetrable window shows how far this can go. We see a fully constructed factory stuffed with unknown machinery, and we realize that we are going to build a very complex system. Tectonica go to.

little kitty big city
If you want to simplify, you would say Little Kitty, Big City is a narrative puzzle game that takes you back to your apartment through a series of quests. But as soon as you start playing, it becomes clear that this is a much more self-directed game than that. Yes, you will be given certain quests (see how to collect glowing objects for crows to gain fish and increase stamina, or collect bread for stray dogs to navigate unfamiliar streets ). But at the heart of the game is playfulness. All of this requires you to further disrupt the world around you.
Your (beautifully animated) cat is more than just a means of transportation. You will see a pot on the side of the wall and naturally swipe it to the ground. Then he discovers that there is a quest side for destroying things with mischief. You will see discarded cans and recycling bins. Putting this inside unlocks another quest. In just a few minutes, you suddenly realize that ancillary pieces of this world are leading you to tinker with its systems and, more importantly, enjoy being a cat for just a few moments. increase.
This is both a simple game and a love letter to the unpredictable nature of cats. And its usability is the perfect invitation to that world.

another crab treasure
This could hold the title of the cutest soul-like ever made. With a classic mascot platformer look, another crab treasure It takes you into a gorgeous cartoon world before you bare your fingernails. It may be playful, such as directing the player to be a small crab whose shell has been stolen, but it is essentially a very rewarding action RPG.
But don’t think this is just a reskin. There are some very interesting innovations on a familiar system here. The key to these is that you can pick up discarded sea trash debris such as soda cans, bottle mouths, party hats and more to use as temporary seashells. Each comes with its own health bar that quickly changes how defensively you have to fight. Even better, each comes with its own set of abilities, and you’ll need to pick the right one for your particular battle.
This comes into its own in really frustrating boss fights. The arena is littered with multiple cannonballs, and part of the strategy will be swapping out different gear to use all the power available. It will be interesting to see a veteran like Saul take on this challenge and realize how much there is to challenge yourself here.
