Until very recently, I was lucky to find an RTX 3050 machine at that price. High-spec GPUs saved on gaming laptops over £ 1,000.
Not so much now that there are systems far below that mark. This is one of the lowest we’ve seen and is a great deal for a decent gaming laptop spec.
The mobile version of the RTX 3060 is faster than the desktop version and is about the same as the RTX 3060 Ti. The Ryzen CPU is also one of the recent 5600H variants. That is a suitable Zen 3 chip with 6 cores and 12 threads.
The screen is a 120Hz 1080p panel with a high refresh rate that looks great on games and desktops. It also means that you can use that RTX 3060 graphics card with the best settings to nail the absolutely playable frame rate.
The only real problem with the system is that the SSD is a bit small at 512GB, which is robust enough for a boot drive, but 8GB of DDR4 RAM is a problem. It’s probably single-channel memory, which means half the memory bandwidth it should have.
