There’s a lot going on in the Towers of Aghasba announcement trailer. a lot. A tribe returned to their homeland to find it a wasteland. It’s very disappointing, but it sure looks interesting for a ruined world.
There are so many different things going on in the trailer that it’s hard to explain tower of agasba grouped into a single category. You can enjoy open world exploration such as flying in the sky using a glider, swimming deep underwater, and riding a giant rat-like creature. There are community buildings. fight. Agriculture. Manufacturing. According to the description on the official website, there is also cooperative play.
“Tower of Agasba is an open-world fantasy experience that forces players to balance building a bustling village for their growing tribe and cultivating a beautiful ecosystem of otherworldly plants. No,” the site says. “Visit your friends’ unique islands to get ideas on how to develop your own. Or invite everyone to your island to explore, harvest, or play with.” please!”
The world sure looks unique. There are giant walking hands that aren’t as scary as the Elden Ring, but they’re still pretty creepy…and they can talk. There are sky whales that can glide and land, and harvest certain creatures from their backs that can probably be used for crafting or mining. There are also giant talking turtles and all sorts of strange plants and animals. It seems like a fun place to explore.
And although it’s not very well captured, the village buildings look beautiful. You can see the ruins of the castle and a new settlement being built on its site. It’s not just to make the place look beautiful, but to give people a home. “Plan a sprawling village, customize buildings, and watch your Sim populace come to life.”
Towers of Aghasba is pretty cool and will be coming to Steam sometime in 2024. The Steam page is not active at this time, but in the meantime you can visit: Official site.
