S-layer
purple
First introduced in Pikmin 2, these heavy units may not be the fastest guys on the field, but hey, can they pack a punch, 10 punches to be exact. That’s right, Purple Pikmin is your resident macho male, fighting enemies and carving out a path like no other.
In “Pikmin 3” their abilities may be a little weaker, but I think they can still lead the team. Perhaps literally…
Layer A
Valbumin
Barbumin may be the most terrifying breed of sentient plant ever to appear in the series (the Pikmin who buried themselves inside Barbumin and controlled their bodies), but we’d rather see this as a dark backstory. I like Negative. You can’t get them out of the specific cave they’re in in Pikmin 2, but they do provide a nice bonus while they’re there.
Valbumin is immune to environmental hazards (fire, water, electricity, poison) and will accept anything thrown at it. Or should I say “whatever is thrown”?
yellow
Love for the original trio of Pikmin 1 varies, but in our hearts, the yellow Pikmin are the best. These big-eared teammates may be one of the loveliest-looking types of him, with his 2-for-1 bonuses of being easily tossed and being resistant to electricity (Pikmin 2 onwards). ) is definitely an attractive prospect.
Combine the fact that it was originally the only species capable of carrying bomb rocks with its ability to dig quickly in later games, and the Yellow is just the complete package. Do not rely on them to defeat your enemies.

blue
I would be lying if I said I didn’t admire Blue Pikmin.they are not number one fighters, and they can’t throw furthest — in fact, they’re pretty close to average on both of these things — but they can walk and work in water. This is an absolute godsend when watching the rest of your party flop and drown because they got too close to the water. edge of the pond.

If Winged Pikmin were a little stronger, we’d add Winged Pikmin to our team on a daily basis. These may not be the best option during combat, but they really corner the market when fighting airborne enemies.
White
White Pikmin aren’t the most practical type, but their speed, ability to find hidden items, and resistance to poison make them still a pretty good addition. The way this species poisons enemies when eaten is pretty cool, even if you lose a teammate in the process.
White Pikmin only appear in Pikmin 3’s mission mode, so it feels like we haven’t had the chance to spend that much time with these little guys yet. Perhaps Pikmin 4 will convince White Pikmin to be higher on the list.
Layer C
red
Beware: Red Pikmin is the worst of the original trio. Looking at the rankings on this list, it may be factually correct, but don’t be fooled by the C-Tier rankings. This is simply a case of stiff competition. This type of fire resistance hasn’t been tested as much in the series so far and has done little to their advantage, but they’re really loyal when it comes to getting involved in scrap.
They’re just regular Pikmin, and we love them for that, but it’s okay to have a little “wow factor.”

Again, we never hate Rock Pikmin, but we never hate their abilities very As impressive as any other product can offer. Not being stabbed or crushed is certainly a bonus, and you can’t talk about them without a smile given their weird little attack animations, but their unique ability to destroy crystals doesn’t stop there. It helps in planning the grand scheme of things.
Layer D
mushroom pikmin
Well, we hate these things. Created by contact with Puffstool spores, these mushroom-headed men turn against you, attacking Olimar repeatedly until you shake them off and restore them to their natural form.
Luckily these only appear in the first game as we don’t want to deal with them more than necessary.
