It’s finally here – The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is out! In this week’s episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast, Gemma, Treb, Kirk, and Justin discuss their first impressions of the game, from his intro scene to exploring Sky Island and even flashy new abilities. It’s an exciting time for fans of the series. I love talking about this series as we begin our long journey back to Hyrule.
On last week’s episode of the Pure Nintendo Podcast, we discussed our final thoughts ahead of the launch of one of the biggest games of the year. The excitement is clear! We taped this week’s show just hours after the game’s release, giving us plenty of time to delve deeper into the updated world of Hyrule.
We spent a lot of time on Ozorajima, a training ground in the game similar to Great Plateau in Breath of the Wild. The Temple of Time is right there, but you’ll need to solve some shrines first to get the Blessing of Light and open the doors to the Great Temple. What’s not obvious, at least at first, is how big this empty area is. It’s easy to get lost exploring every nook and cranny before returning to the scarred land of Hyrule. For example, did you know that 19 of his Korog seeds are hidden here?
Enjoying Tears of the Kingdom? What’s your favorite new ability? How many shrines and korok seeds have you found? Let me know your first impressions in the comments!
