On Sunday night at Super Bowl 57, Lucasfilm debuted a new 30-second TV ad for Indiana Jones and the Dial of Fate. The new clip consists of footage from past trailers and some all-new sequences, including a dramatic ending in which the main his character jumps out of an airplane.
“A legend will face his fate,” reads the text from the trailer, referring to Harrison Ford’s character Indiana Jones. is added. John Rhys-Davies, who starred in the original Raiders of the Lost Ark, returns for the new film. The film’s cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Antonio Banderas, Shawnette Lenny Wilson, Thomas Kretschmann, Oliver Richters, Ethan Isidore, and Mads Mikkelsen as villains.
James Mangold (Logan, Walk the Line) will direct The Dial of Destiny, which releases on June 30th. Steven Spielberg, who directed his previous four Indiana Jones films, is an executive producer along with series creator George Lucas. John Williams is composing the score again. He has composed the music for every Indiana Jones film since the first in 1981.
The Dial of Destiny opens in 1944, and the filmmakers used advanced AI programs to age Ford with real-life old footage of the actor.
“They have this artificial intelligence program that can handle every inch of a movie owned by Lucasfilm,” Ford said. “I’ve done a lot of film for them, so they have all this footage, including the unprinted film. So they dig it out of the expression where the light is coming from.” can do.”
