Snipers, welcome to an update on the new Season Pass 1 content sniper elite 5.
New content drops available now include:landing forceand two additional weapons, the DL Carbine Rifle and the PPSH Submachine Gun. Additionally, we’re giving away a new hostile multiplayer map, Flooded Village, completely free to all players. Check out the new trailer above.

talk about landing forceMichael Ma, designer, Rajesh Parmar, artist at Flix Interactive, partnered with Rebellion to develop Season 1 content sniper elite 5says:landing force Set on an island off the coast of southern France, it was originally used as a luxury resort. The Nazis dramatically turned it into a giant weapon that defended the oceans. It’s up to Karl to destroy the cannons and close the lighthouse to let the Allied fleet know they can safely start Operation Dragoon and retake France.
“Since this mission was inspired by the movie The Guns of Navarone, we wanted to focus on coastal weapons and give the whole mission a looming presence.
“Setting the mission at night helps set the mood and understand the importance of staying undetected. Elements of ancient ruins, forts, walls, and abandoned buildings scattered throughout the island have also been added to give a deeper sense of the island’s history.
“The entire map can be explored, players can follow multiple routes to find objectives, and there are many different ways to reach them. I can’t wait for you to play!”
In addition to the new Landing Force mission, two new weapons are also available: the DL Carbine and PPSH. He spoke with Rebellion’s resident firearms expert, Principal Designer (Combat) Lawrence Barnett, about the new weapon.
“The DL carbine is probably one of the quietest firearms ever made. Thanks to the integrated suppressor and subsonic ammunition, the initial blast is completely silenced. It proves to be the ultimate tool in play, allowing you to eliminate targets from long range with just a whisper.
“Evidence for these bold claims comes from Burma, where a Japanese soldier in an open truck was shot by a nearby Allied sniper, not knowing that the gun had been fired. We looked around confusedly and kept scratching our heads.
“Unlike stealth, we have the PPSH submachine gun, a ferocious weapon that resembles the spirit of the honey badger. It is often called a “burp gun”. Thanks to the burst of gunfire that sounds like a continuous stream of blasts.
“It takes a lot of ammunition to fire bullets as fast as the PPSH, but thankfully you have access to the 71-round drum magazine hidden in the workbench.
“For those who rely on their rifle for general play and call in an SMG when needed (when spotted or heard and all goes south), PPSH is the ultimate ‘jailbreak’ card. ”
Finally, there are new multiplayer maps for all Adversarial Game Modes (including No Cross). This is currently free for everyone. We spoke with Rebellion Liverpool’s Studio Design Lead, Mark Shaw, about Flooded Village.
“Nazi countermeasures against air raids have turned the fields of this small rural village into a deadly quagmire, splitting them in two.
“Although not based on one specific location, the team draws inspiration from historical references, battles and events that occurred during the Allied advance in the interior of Normandy. Among the many symbolic images associated with it is a scene of a swollen river and a flooded field, the result of the Axis forces intentionally opening the floodgates and breaching the flood defenses.
“As a result, this map offers a unique look and gameplay challenge. While fighting in the central lowlands, players must contend with navigating waist-deep waters. Doing it at high speed can cause a big splash, but it may be worth the risk of reaching a flooded house that offers a new perspective.
“Another important feature is the causeway and railroad bridge that runs along one side of the map. It’s a great elevated location, but beware it silhouettes against the low sun.
“There are many other interesting features and gameplay opportunities in this map. We hope you find them and take advantage of them in online battles.”
