Speed ââCrew is a new co-op party game that lets players take on the role of a race track pit crew. You and your crew will fix all kinds of mechanical problems on various vehicles as quickly as possible. The game follows the same kind of mechanics as Overcooked and Moving Out and is much more fun to play with friends than alone. But is Speed ââCrew number one when it comes to gameplay? Check it out!
In the game, the player navigates the pit area and uses various tools provided to perform maintenance on vehicles that require assistance. For example, you may need to replace a bad tire. This involves grabbing a jack, jacking up the car, removing the tire, grabbing and installing the new tire, and removing the jack. We also perform tasks such as replacing bumpers, fixing dents, replacing parts under the car, and extinguishing fires. This may seem daunting, but teeth Speed ââCrew really shines when you’re playing solo, or when there are two or more players in the pit. When the car stops, Diagnose the problem will be highlighted in yellow so you know what you need to work on. Splitting up and focusing on different tasks is your best bet.
It might seem more desperate, but it’s a lot easier with multiple teammates. This will allow you to pass more cars faster and complete each level with a higher score. It’s also generally more fun when you’re not playing alone. I thought it was interesting that if the player is careful and doesn’t get in the way when putting the car into the garage, it can get run over by the car. This led to some funny moments as I saw my teammates flying across the screen. But don’t worry, it will respawn after 3 seconds. You can also slap your teammates for whatever reason. This is a silly thing the developers added just for fun.
The controls felt a little sluggish for such a fast-paced game. It was also frustrating having to pick up all the tools and put them back in place before I could move on. I just wanted to move faster and get to the next car, but it slowed me down. This is also a gameplay mechanic that makes it less stressful for more players, as you can assign tasks such as placing tools or removing scrap/trash to your teammates. If you don’t have any local friends to play with, don’t worry. Speed ââCrew has his online multiplayer mode where you can join his 3 other players to challenge different levels. So you don’t have to play alone unless you need some practice or like a solo challenge.
When it comes to graphics, I think Speed ââCrew could have looked a little better. The appearance is somewhat reminiscent of a smartphone game. It’s not terrible, but it’s not engaging in terms of character designs or environments. There are moments that seem good, but other times they look a little generic. The music isn’t that great, but it fits the theme of the game. Overall, I think Speed ââCrew’s biggest appeal is having fun while playing with friends.
If this sounds interesting, I highly recommend checking out the demo on the eShop before purchasing. That way you get a feel for the controls and the multiplayer mode. Speed ââCrew is a fun game that you can play with your family, a group of friends, or online with 3 strangers. However, I don’t think it’s very fun to play alone. If you’re looking for a fun cooperative game, add this game to your list.
