Bad news for critics Suicide Squad: Defeat the Justice LeagueA recent showcase for: Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier argues that the backlash won’t change Suicide Squad’s core game.
Suicide Squad is a hell of a live service game
After a hiatus, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming to PlayStation State of Play in February 2023, and fans unanimously thought it was the worst part of the showcase. Every aspect, down to the live service element, caught our attention.
Shortly afterward, Schreier revealed that Suicide Squad had been postponed, with subsequent rumors suggesting it could be postponed to 2024.
In a follow-up tweet yesterday, Schreier reported that even Rocksteady’s own staff members aren’t sure when Suicide Squad’s new release date will be, although the game is said to still be coming later this year.
However, according to Schreier, the only “sure” thing about Suicide Squad at this point is that the core game will remain the same. So all the speculation that Rocksteady and WB would delay the game and make changes following the backlash was just… speculation.
Rocksteady has yet to announce the postponement of Suicide Squad. Probably because there is no new date yet. We were told a few weeks ago that the staff would be coming later this year, but we don’t know yet when. I’m saying that.

So why were we late? Potential for regular polish and bugfixes in the final stages of development.
