With the release of Super Mega Baseball 4 just around the corner, a new video has been released with more information about the “baseball legends” participating in the series. This is the first in a series of Deep His Dives to debut as the game’s June 2 release approaches.

Through the last three Super Mega Baseball™ titles, we’ve seen the series expanded with new fictional Super Mega Superstars, teams and ballparks.
We have had long discussions within the community about the desire to have real players in the game. With SMB4, we had the opportunity to expand our Super Mega Universe with the addition of real-life baseball legends.
One of our goals is to make the Super Mega Baseball Series a timeless experience, a game you can come back to year after year without the roster ever feeling stale. By featuring baseball greats in the game, we are able to provide players with real-life legends while maintaining the timeless nature of Super Mega Baseball. We felt this was the most authentic way to pay tribute to baseball’s heritage and the era and players who defined the sport we love.
Who are Legends and where can I find them?
With over 240 Legends to play at launch, there’s no shortage of historical players to choose from.
Some of the most notable legends include:
- David Ortiz
- Vladimir Guerrero
- Billy Wagner
- Bartolo Colon
- Jose Bautista
- Mike Mussina
- George Brett
- Babe Ruth
- Willie Mays
- Laurie Fingers
- ozzy smith
- Hank Aaron and many more!
These Legends can be found not only in the classic Super Mega League, but also in SMB4’s new League of Legends. Players can now choose to play as her fictional SMB character or play as her favorite legend in her fictional SMB world.
This league organizes the Legends into two conferences, the New School Conference and the Old School Conference, and pits two eras of baseball against each other.
Each conference includes brand new teams such as: mammo tank and empire at a new school meeting, and originator and joy riders At the Old School Conference.
MLBPAA Integration in Game Mode
There are many ways to interact with Legends in-game. We wanted to give players the flexibility to create the SMB experience of her they want to play.
You can play Season Mode with a Legend League team, or you can make a copy of a Legend League team and customize the players and teams to your liking.
You can also use the new Shuffle Draft feature to kick off modes like Franchise, Seasons, and Online Leagues. This allows him to build a team that incorporates both Legends and Super Mega All-Stars into one team.
In Franchise Mode, you can import players from other leagues and they will appear as free agents that can be acquired during the season or off-season. For example, you can start a franchise playthrough in the Super Mega League with Legends as free agents each season.
We also made some changes to the Pennant Race to include Legends. Each week, his four players on each Super Mega League team will be replaced by his four Legends, known as “Pennant Race Slingers”. Teams that have been underused recently, or teams that have lost more than others on aggregate, receive stronger ringers. Conversely, teams that are frequently picked or have a high total winning percentage receive weaker ringers. This replaces the random per-race Mojo and fitness changes seen in SMB2 and SMB3. Pennant races are still limited to 20 Super Mega League teams (although these teams are visually customizable).
