Gear up, time travelers, as we are ready to share more exciting details about Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate coming to PlayStation VR2 in 2024.
With the technology provided by PlayStation VR2 and the power of PS5, we can explore bold and exciting new ideas to truly enhance player presence, create more realistic interactions, and build richer worlds to explore. I was. Let’s take a closer look at these features.
amazing new visuals
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate has an amazing art makeover. The completely revamped visuals for PlayStation VR2 create a richer and more beautiful world, taking visuals to new heights. It includes an all-new lighting system and a complete overhaul of all NPCs, lovingly reworked and crafted to look more realistic and better than ever.

full body avatar
With world-class full-body avatars, you can embody a character through time and see yourself as that character for the first time. Thanks to PS VR2’s new eye-tracking feature, we’ve created a cutting-edge player avatar system that does more than just accurately depict hand and head movements, eyes, and eyelids. We also created an AI system where the feet react to the situation the player is in and represent the relevant necessary movements (climb, hang, fall, lean, crouch, etc.). Player avatars can now have physics-based “strengths”. This is bound to a new “Physics Interaction Framework”, which means that the player’s avatar can vary in terms of the intensity with which it interacts with the virtual world around it.
Not only are we creating characters that are more immersive and more functional, but we also created a bespoke system that leverages Epic’s metahuman beauty, so it’s visually stunning as well. It is

adventure platform
Our all-new physics-driven platform takes action-adventure to a whole new level, giving players the ability to explore and interact with the world in new and creative ways. Swim, jump, crouch, climb, zipline and swing through a variety of rich worlds in true adventure style. The system is completely physics-driven, with no gimmicky forced transitions or socket connections to ‘rails’. It’s just you and the world. The freedom this provides allows players to feel more daring and adventurous during their journey.

The Next Generation Physics-Driven World
Powered by Unreal Engine 5, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate brings a revolutionary new perspective to physics. We created a new system to help simulate “real world” mass and velocity when grabbing an item. All of this also includes the player’s avatar and their strengths. This is made even more real with PS VR2’s advanced use of adaptive his trigger haptics, headset and controller haptics. We also have a new proximity-based head haptics system in store and can’t wait to share with you.
all-new combat
An all-new combat system is designed around new sets of weapons, ammunition, and enemies, allowing players to more creatively solve the various combat situations they encounter over time. It’s up to the player how much (or little) action they want to take to provide more player agency.
A wider, more open world to explore
The world of Wanderer embraces changes in player mobility, giving players even more freedom to explore larger areas and discover surprises as they venture back in time.
New content, levels and improved time persistence
Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate also introduces three exciting new levels and lots of new content to the existing world, giving you plenty of opportunities to explore a vast and rich world. In addition to this, we’ve overhauled persistence between levels to improve continuity when traveling in time. When the player leaves the “age of time” (the world) and comes back, things are exactly the same as when they left: objects, actions, everything.

New time travel and watch features
Even Samuel, your trusty watch companion, got a makeover. With a new UI, storage system, time travel upgrades and ingenious new features, Echo Diviner – Samuel is more valuable than ever by being able to find lost items.
Richer, more immersive, more beautiful, and full of even more action and adventure, Wanderer: The Fragments of Fate delivers a truly reimagined game for the next generation of VR. Stay tuned for more information ahead of its release on PS VR2 next year.
